Finding the Sweet Spot

THE COOLEST WARM SPOT ON THE EAST COAST!

North of here, they have croc’s; Irukandji; box jelly fish; no surf and busloads of tourists!

South of here, they don’t have coral reef but they do have bitterly cold winters and busloads of tourists!

Agnes Water sits quietly and mostly forgotten in the sweet spot on the East Coast… here we get all of the good stuff and none of the bad.

The reason Agnes Water is one of the coolest spots to wait out the winter is that it’s one of the warmest spots to wait out the winter. Agnes is nestled
deeply into the northern crook of the Agnes headland and is totally protected from winter’s southerly winds. We enjoy a remarkably stable micro-climate
in our deep bay and tourists are often surprised when they step outside of the lee of the headland by how wild and woolly it is just on the other side
of the Agnes Awesome Weather Bubble.

Agnes the northernmost point break on the east coast. The southerly wind whips up the swell which gently wraps around our headland creating long lines
of surf off the point—and it’s at it’s best in the Autumn and Winter months. With water temperature ranging between 20 to 29°C and air temps
averaging between 17 to 26°C, you’ll find plenty of locals who surf all year round without a wetsuit and a few who don’t even own long pants!

In early June the whale season starts and their Migration path takes them right past our door. You can spot them from the beach, you can spot them from
the headland or spot them from your boat on the way out to Lady Musgrave Island. Winter is when the water visibility is at it’s very best—it’s
the season to snorkel!

So fly north for the winter and hang out with the cool cats in the warmest cool spot on the coast. Once discovered, Agnes will become your favourite winter
roost.
